HubCat is at Hub Tampere, Finland, 28.8.2010
HubCat arrived from Hub Stockholm to Hub Tampere with Laura by bike on an early Monday morning. The air was autumn-cold, and HubCat was very excited meeting all her new Finnish friends! Wonder what’s going to happen next…
HubCat and Hub host Laura wanted to take a picture together, as a memoir of their journey.
As a welcoming gesture, HubCat was provided with Finnish traditional Reino shoes.
And then HubCat was chilling out with Elina, one of the Hub Tampere founders and hosts.
Having chilled out for a while, it was time for HubCat to go back to business.
Finally, HubCat joined Voimala’s entrepreneurship training for young people. -That’s a wrap, she thought. The training was a great way of closing the interesting day. Now she is constantly wondering, where she will travel next.
On Monday, the 2nd of August, HubCat reached Rotterdam after a long, but exciting trip, from Madrid, vía San Sebastian. He took an interail train from Hendaye to Paris, and from there to Rotterdam.
At the very begining Rotterdam seemed to be just the trade and commercial city, famous for its port, the biggest in Europe. However, it rapidly appear to be a vibrating city plenty of different cultures and full of tolerance.
In the picture, HubCat was ready to cross the Erasmus Bridge, one of the many pieces of modern architecture you can find in Rotterdam. Hopefuly the wind was not to strong that day :)
As for me, I´m Jose Luis Ruiz de Munain. I was born in San Sebastian not too many year ago, and I am passionate for Social Change through entrepreneurship. Currently I am launching a consulting company on sustainability with Jesus Iglesias, member and host form HUB Madrid. I am also organising a surf competition in San Sebastian that will raise funds and donate them to a Social Enterprise in Thailand ( www.changefusion.org ). HubCat was lucky to stay at a location very close to the famous Hotel New York in Rotterdam. He therefore enjoyed a peaceful walk watching the port landscape and its huge ships.
And, above all, he enjoyed one of the the hotel’s famous dishes: “fish and chips”… :)
HubCat visited the HUB Rotterdam as well and enjoyed a tasty sexy salad with some of the HUB´s members. Great to see the dynamism of this HUB, and to find a Spanish guy here! Nice to meet you Iraitz! :)
On the 4th of August HubCat and myself, Jose Luis, were at HUB Amsterdam. We went there to meet new people and attend an interesting workshop under the HUB Summer School Program.
Coming from Madrid, HubCAt was happy to meet Laura from Bilbao working at HUB Amsterdam. Good to see that Spanish people are almost everywhere :)
